THE STATE OF THE NFL

All right, I'm going to do something different here, I'm going to ask questions and answer them myself. Since there are thousands of questions surrounding the future of the NFL, I'll pick three questions I find the most pressing.

SHOULD THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS MOVE ON FROM MIKE TOMLIN?

A. The thing about Mike Tomlin, is that he's in a very unique position, and always has been, Pittsburgh doesn't like to change their head coaches under any circumstance, as a matter of fact, they've only had three head coaches since 1969, and all three have won a super bowl, Chuck Knoll famously won four with Terry Bradshaw.

Tomlin has had 19 consecutive winning seasons, that means he's had a winning season every year. he's coached Pittsburgh, but, he also currently holds the record for the most consecutive playoff losses of any head coach.

The last time the Pittsburgh Steelers won a playoff game, was in 2017. Let's take a closer look.

Conclusion

It's time to let Mike Tomlin go, with unpredictable off-season roster moves and Aaron Rodgers retiring, Pittsburgh is likely going to be in a rebuilding state for the next couple of years, why not get a fresh coach, with everything to gain, as opposed to a coach who has done, it all and has nothing left to prove.

I think Tomlin would be a great asset to another team either as the head coach, or as a GM, let me be clear, he has nothing to be ashamed of, everybody's day comes eventually. it's just business.

UPDATE: MIKE TOMLIN HAS STEPPED DOWN AS OF 1/14/2026, WELL YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST.

ARE THE DENVER BRONCOS A LEGITIMATE SUPER BOWL CONTENDER?

A. Simple logic would suggest that the 2025 Denver Broncos, who finished the 2025 season with the best record in the AFC, and a first round bye, puts them in the driver seat to play in February.Unfortunately it's not that simple. Denver may have finished with the best record in the AFC, but their 2025 strength of schedule was ranked at #21 by ESPN, they played Las Vegas twice, Kansas City twice, and San Diego twice, their schedule also included Dallas, the New York Giants and the New York Jets.. The Denver Broncos won 14 games, out of those 14 wins, 13 were against teams that didn't make the playoffs, or finished under .500.

Conclusion

Denver is going to get beat so shamelessly it's gonna make you want to slap your mama.

Damn Mama got clapped!!!

WHO WILL REPRESENT THE AFC AND NFC THIS YEAR IN FEBRUARY

At this point, eight teams are still alive.

A. We'll keep this simple, based on playoff experience and previous success, I believe San Francisco and Buffalo are the obvious frontrunners. Caleb Williams & Chicago are having an amazing season, but I've seen very few rookie or second year quarterbacks make it to February, Caleb Williams will look like a deer in headlights this weekend. I don't know what happened in the fourth quarter against the Packers this past weekend, but don't expect an experienced playoff team like the LA Rams, to cut Chicago the same type of slack. -EE
